**Note from JFH staff: Apparently you can buy the CD on Amazon.com and RelientK.com (via Zambooie), but it's "Digital Only" because it's otherwise not released in stores. We did not write the following press release ourselves.**

NASHVILLE, TENN -July 11, 2013 -Relient K celebrates another Billboard 200 debut with their seventh LP project, Collapsible Lung (Mono Vs. Stereo). The digital only release debuted in the Top 20 on the chart. This was the first time the GRAMMY®-nominated band has released a studio project in digital form only. Last week the highly anticipated album also debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes overall album chart.

Collapsible Lung stems from the band's personal experiences; yet, this time around they chose to co-write for the first time ever on a Relient K album. Keeping up with the fresh approach, the band turned to producers Paul Moak and Aaron Sprinkle. Check out what media are saying about Collapsible Lung:

"The Ohio to Nashville pop-punk band has gone straight pop on their seventh studio album. Absolutely ideal for summer." - Nashville Lifestyles

"This band is known for majoring in minor details, but that's a big part of their charm. And you have to admire their elasticity, changing shape from pop-punk to quirky radio-ready singles to a singer-songwriter track like 'Can't Complain.' " - Rhapsody

"Collapsible Lung provides us with some of the most unique and best songs from Relient K." - UnderTheGunReview.net

"Most of the songs on this album seamlessly pop and find Relient K together, resulting in some of the catchiest songs you'll hear all summer." - TheAlternativeReview.net

ABOUT RELIENT K
Relient K has been making the real thing since 1997, when Matt Thiessen and Matt Hoopes formed the band in high school. In the 15+ years since, they've released six full-length albums (three are certified Gold), five EPs and a Christmas record. They have toured the globe, and racked up several hit singles, a GRAMMY-nomination, two Dove Awards and performances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Night with Conan O' Brien and Jimmy Kimmel Live. The Los Angeles Times has praised Relient K for "its smart blend of punk pop and power pop, weaving together influences as diverse as the Beach Boys, Blink-182 and Fountains of Wayne" while Spin noted, "Few bands play punk-influenced modern rock as proficiently." This is Relient K's second studio release on Mono Vs. Stereo, a partnership between Relient K and Gotee Records.

Relient K is a band that writes from personal experiences and this has paid off with over two million records sold, three RIAA Gold-certified albums and a highly dedicated fanbase. As a prolific songwriter, Relient K's frontman, Matt Thiessen, has paved a road with pop hits over the last four years including co-writing Owl City's 2012 summer hit "Good Time," Kelly Clarkson's "Long Shot" and the award-winning "When Can I See You Again" from the animated film Wreck-It Ralph.
